A considered transformation that refines an established Mediterranean villa into a lighter, more spatially connected contemporary residence.

The brief

This project involves the renovation of an existing Tuscan-style villa within Jumeirah Golf Estates, delivered in full compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations and JGE Design Review Committee guidelines.

The intervention retains the villa’s original architectural language — sloped rooflines, natural stone cladding, and earth-toned façades — while refining proportions, upgrading material expression, and enhancing façade articulation. Enlarged glazing elements and recalibrated balcony geometries improve natural light penetration and strengthen visual connection to the surrounding landscape, without disrupting the identity of the community.

Internally and externally, the renovation enhances spatial flow and reinforces the relationship between interior living spaces and outdoor areas, maintaining a careful balance between preservation and contemporary refinement.

Scope of Work

Complete design concept, mood boards, floor plans, and joinery drawings. Furniture and fixture sourcing. Renovation completed by Son & Son in collaboration with our trusted trades and partners.

Refined material selections, including natural stone, warm timber tones, and subtle textured finishes, are introduced to reinforce a cohesive spatial language throughout the villa. The restrained palette enhances architectural continuity between interior and exterior spaces, supporting a calm and unified residential atmosphere while respecting the original Tuscan character of the property.
